1946 |
Korea
Seminary was founded by Christian
leaders such as Revs. Joo Nam Sun and Han Sang Dong, who had been imprisoned for
resisting the compulsory Shinto Shrine worship during the Japanese occupation of
Korea, to produce pastors with pure faith and life.

1955 |
Calvin Institute, a 4-year college with the Departments of Theology,
Religion, English Literature and Philosophy, was established. Rev. Han Myung Dong
served as the first president (1955 - 1963) and Dr. Lee Geun Sam as the second
president (1963 - 1964) |

1964 |
Calvin institute
was closed and reorganized as a college program in the Korea Seminary |

Kosin Seminary was
approved to be directly controlled by The General assembly of the Presbyterian
Church in Korea (Kosin).  |

1969 |
Korea
Seminary was recognized by the Ministry
of Education as an educational institution equivalent to college level. |

1970 |
Korea Theological
College (Department of Theology) was
founded with the approval of the Ministry of Education. |

1976 |
The Department of Christian Education was established at Korea Theological College with the
approval of the Ministry of Education.  |

1978 |
The Department of
Religious Music was established
at Korea Theological College with the
approval of the Ministry of Education. |

The Graduate
School with the Master¡¯s programs in
Theology (Th. M.) and Christian Education (M.A.) was established at Korea
Theological College with the approval of the Ministry of Education.  |

1980 |
Korea Theological College
was converted to Kosin
College and the Department of
Medicine was established with the approval of the Ministry of
Education.  |

Korea Theological
Seminary (Master of Divinity Program)
was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education.  |

Department of Health Sciences was established at Kosin College
with the approval of the Ministry of
Education. |

Departments of Biology and Food & Nutritional
Sciences were established
at Kosin College with the approval of the Ministry of

Seminary was constructed in Chun-An,

Departments of Advertising and Industrial
Design were established at Kosin

Health was divided into Department of Medical Management and Department of

Music changed its name to

Counseling Psychology were established in the Graduate School of Education
with the approval of the Ministry of Education. |

Department of Fine
Arts was changed to Department of Painting. |

2002 |
Graduate School of
Human Life and Information(Majors
in Institution, Restaurant and Food
Distribution Management, Clinical Nutrition and Information Management, Interior
and Environmental Design, and Visual Design and Moving Graphics)
will be established at Kosin University
with the approval of the Ministry of Education. |
