Welcome to the Kosin University.

The Kosin University is unique in its founding our mission and history.
Kosin University was not established by a specific organization and individual. but by d group of Christian leaders who dedicated to the reconstruction of Korean church with pure faith and life.
In 1946, at the end of Japanese occupation, Korea Seminary, the forerunner of Kosin University, was founded by Revs. Joo Nam Sun and Han Sang Dong who had been imprisoned for 5 years for the resistance against the compulsory Shinto shrine worship during the Japanese occupation of Korea.
I, as the president of Kosin University, will do my best to practice the founding our mission, keeping the history and tradition of the school in mind.
I will try hard to make our university a true Christian school as well as a competitive academic institution in the age of "globalization".
For this end, I am proposing two basic principles;

First, as a Reformed Christian university directly controlled by the General Assembly of Kosin Presbyterian Church, Kosin University has to submit the authority of church and dedicate to the expansion of church and the Kingdom of God.

Second, Kosin University must be salt and light of the world.

1) In order to fulfill the given role of a Christian university, the faculty members should actively participate in the educational and research activities with pride, providing students an excellent academic environment.

2) In all circumstances, we have to follow the rule and principle.

I will give my best efforts to develop our university as a true Christian school based on the Biblical principles and the tradition of Reformed thought. My basic principles of administration will be lawfulness, equality and propriety. I trust that everything turns out right when Biblical principles are followed.
