The
goals of Kosin Medical College are to provide educational opportunities for
students who wish to prepare themselves for careers in medical sciences either
as clinical practitioner, educator or research scientist. To meet the above
qualification students must acquire during their education the basic scientific
knowledge and skills required in modern medical science, develop a truly
Christian spirit and cultivate their individual character so as to be guided by
a moral conscience and professional ethics. The programs for premedical
education (2 years) are to train students to become medical students with
appropriate knowledge and attitude and the programs of medical education (4
years) are designed to provide each student with a foundation of medical
knowledge and clinical skills essential for both graduate training and,
ultimately a challenging role in the health care delivery system.
The programs of medical education are run by
following subdivisions of Department of Medicine: Anatomy, Physiology,
Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Preventive Medicine,
Internal Medicine, Neurology, General Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology,
Pediatrics, Orthopedic Surgery, Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery,
Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, Opthalmology, Otolaryngology, Urology,
Dermatology, Neuopsychiatry, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine,
Anesthesiology, Clinical Pathology, Dentistry, and Rehabilitation
Medicine.

Our
purpose is nurturing students to become nurses with hearts of Jesus, who will be
able to fulfill people¡¯s needs that nurses can provide, who is skillful,
creative, professional and of good character. We aim to do
so by focusing the education to understanding the disciplines in the humanities,
studying nursing theories and participating in field education. |
