While most of the teaching at Kosin University is done in Korean (see the Korean website for more details of these programs) some wonderful opportunities exist for English speakers to study at Kosin. The university appreciates that Korea has benefitted substantially from the input of missionaries in the past and recognizes that it is now able to offer support to other parts of the world. It also perceives that many church leaders and pastors from the third world have difficulty in receiving training.
In response Kosin University undertakes to provide postgraduate training in the form of Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Education degrees to pastors and church leaders from countries where students might otherwise not be able to study. Scholarships including fully paid tuition and living costs are available to suitable needy candidates.
Kosin University has an international exchange programs with Daystar University, Kenya ; Dordt College, USA ; Mongolia International University, Mongolia ; Yanbian University of Science and Technology, China ; Capital Normal University, China ; Shenyang Normal University, China ; and Shaoxing University, China . These programs are for undergraduate students in the second or third year of study. Students coming to Kosin will generally study some subjects in the English Literature and Language Department and other subjects will be in Korean.
On an individual basis, arrangements can be made for international students to study a PhD at Kosin University. For more information about these opportunities please contact Kim, Hyunjoo at or 051-990-2233.
