A small hospital serving and ministering to the refugees during the
Korean War was what later became the Kosin University Gospel Hospital.
Currently, the hospital is run with goals to accurately diagnose and treat
patients, to spread the Gospel, and to teach and research medical sciences. The
establishment of Medical School program in 1980 became a turning point for the
hospital, from which significant developments were made. The hospital is
currently equipped to serve approximately 1,400 inpatients with state-of-the-art
facilities and equipment. For senior undergraduate and postgraduate trainees
(including interns and residents) the hospital provides direct patient care
experience at the bedsides, in the operating rooms, and laboratories. The
opportunity of training is extended to volunteering doctors from the outside of
the hospital.
